Waimate Centennial School Library

Welcome to our weekly Library blog. Remember I would love some comments either about the blog site or about something you would like to be included in our Library.

I was please to see some children having a go at matching the Maori words on the display board. Have a go with the new ones this week.

The display of the 'First Moon Walk' was popular. Remember you can take these books out. There is also a great selection of 'space' books still on the shelves.

This week we have another awesome selection of new books.

The two new Junior Picture books were read to the children in Ruma Pukeko last week and they loved them. Now read them for yourself.

We also have a new Goosebumps book for all of those children who are Goosebumps fans. There are a lot of you!

We have three beautiful Non Fiction books. A lovely one just for the girls - '365 Stories and Rhymes for Girls. The other two are beautifully illustrated - 'Atlas of Endangered Species' and 'My First Dinosaur Encyclopedia'. These are great books.

We also have some new games for you as well. Check them out.

Remember enjoy your Library.

Waimate Centennial School Library

Welcome back to Term 3. We have some exciting things happening this term and not only in the Library!

This week is Maori Language Week, looking in particular at Maori Language in the Community. Have a look at the display in the Library and have a go at matching up the words. You will know them.

Monday is the 40th anniversary of the very first Moon Walk, and no it doesn't have anything to do with Michael Jackson! Have a look at this display as well. There are also some activities for you to complete.

We have a great selection of new books this week. Something for everyone. Come and have a look at them.

Remember if you have got an overdue book, you will not be able to get another book out. We have got an awesome collection of books in our Library and it would be a real shame if you aren't able to read them. So get those overdue books back.

HAPPY READING.
