Waimate Centennial Library

We have a short week this week but we still have 10 new books going into the library!

There is a great picture book called 'Boris Monster-Scared of Nothing' - is he really? Room 6 children know!

There are also two lovely senior picture books with New Zealand themes. Beautiful illustrations as well. Check them out.

If you think you know everything, have a look at the new non fiction called '8000 More Things You Should Know'!

Mrs Jury's Favourite
My favourite book this week is one of the New Zealand books called 'Elwyn's Dream-Saving the Takahe'. This is a true story about how one man tried to save the Takahe from extinction. It is beautifully illustrated as well.

Have a great reading week.

Waimate Centennial School Library

This week we have something new to check out - Graphic Novels.

These are new and exciting novels in an illustrated form. I'm sure you will enjoy reading these.

Come and have a look at them.

My favourites are the two classics - Black Beauty and Tom Sawyer. It is great to see these as pictorial novels.

If these books prove popular we will look at buying more next year so let me know how you enjoy them.

Waimate Centennial School Library

Welcome back to Term 4. I hope you have had a great holiday and that you found some time to read!

To begin this term we have got another great selection of new books. Something for everyone.

Included in the Junior picture books there is a neat story about Max who was a bit nervous of sitting on the toilet! Room 6 children know what happens.

There is a Pony Pals Collection in the Senior Fiction books. I know someone who has been asking for this.

Mrs Jury's Favourite:
This week my favourite is a wonderful non-fction book looking at the world of dinosaurs.
Check it out for yourself.
