Well this is the last week of the third term and once again we have got a great selection of new books going into the library.
There are two excellent Picture books that I have read to the children in Room 6 and Room 3, called 'Froggy Went a Hopping' and 'Reggie Queen of the Street' . Both are lovely stories.
There is also a great First Chapter book called 'Shadow' about a foster family for puppies.
If you love dogs this is a must read.
For the middle school children we have three new books, all very different. Check them out, especially if you would like some hoilday reading.
In the Non Fiction area we have another in the 'Horrible Histories' series - history with the nasty bits left in!
There are also two lovely books about how to care for dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs.
Mrs Jury's Favourite
My favourite this week is a magazine! The new Kiwi Conservation Club magazine is in the library.
These are great reads for anyone interested in conservation or just birds and animals.
This issue is mainly concerned with flying - bats, pterosaurs, insects and birds. It has the story of E7, the first Godwit tracked by satelite. There is an article about the migration of the Monarch Butterfly. Plus wordfinds, competitions, jokes and a list of children who would like a green pal.
So come into the library sometime this week and have a look.

In the 1st chapter books there is 'The Quest For Aslan' from the Chroinicles of Narnia, with pictures from the actual film.
There is an interesting book in the senior fiction selection called 'Haunted Babysitters-True Ghost Stories' - read and find out more!
These are just a few of the 8 new books that will be in the library this week.
Come and have a look at them.
Mrs Jury's Favourite:
My favourite this week is a book called 'Best Mate', by Michael Morpurgo about a puppy who was saved from drowning and the many other adventures he had after that.
A must-read for any dog lovers.

Waimate Centennial School Library
We have a selection of new books in the library this week.
Do you know, there are at least 8 new books going into your library each week!
This week I am sure you will find a book that interests you.
We have got a wonderful animal book that tells you everything you would possibly like to know about the animal kingdom.
There are also stories about babysitters, sock pirates, the tooth fairy's helper and a bear that makes noises!
Come in and have a browse.
Have you seen our selection of magazines? There are magazines about horses, motorbikes, fast cars and rugby. Check them out.

My favourite book this week is about a cow called Pamela. She loved pears and ate them all the time until one day she had too many! Find out what happened!
I'm pleased she isn't at our school on 'Fruity Wednesday's'!
